AutoSet is a DOS-based program that will automatically download a configuration file to any Metrologic scanner that currently supports HandSet, ScanSet or HoloSet. Note: In reference to HoloTrak scanners, AutoSet will only work with scanners that have software number #14118 or greater. It will also only work with files generated by HoloSet v3.02 or greater.

Bits 'n' Pieces data editing software is an easy-to-use utility that was designed to give the end-user maximum flexibility when integrating a Metrologic bar code scanner to a host system. What is data editing? Data editing (also known as parsing) allows the end-user to define how the bar code data will be transmitted from a bar code scanner. This version operates on personal computers running Windows 95/98/2000 or NT. NOTE: If the communication interface on the MS7120 Orbit or IS6520 OmniQuest is not RS232, then a cable is needed for connection to your personal computer. The part number of the required cable is 54014A.

Compatch is a small but effective program created to reinitialize a newer desktop's or laptop's serial communications port, which can sometimes be reconfigured by other applications. If you're experiencing problems with your system locking up when running one of our configurations programs, try running compatch before running the configuration program. It may just do the trick. At the DOS prompt, type Compatch, followed by the number of the com port (1 through 4).

This upgrade for the 9500 series scanners enables decoding of RSS barcodes. Plug your scanner in via an RS-232 port, and use the Meteor upgrade utility to send this upgrade to your unit's ROM. After you have completed this upgrade, use the barcodes in the included PDF file, Filename.pdf, to enable the features you wish to use.
