Metrologic Enters Agreement with Healthcare Integrator EnovateIT

Blackwood, New Jersey – February 9, 2006 -- Metrologic Instruments, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS:MTLG), today announced that it has signed an agreement to supply EnovateIT, LLC, an integrator that focuses on the healthcare market, with its bar code scanners.
Under the terms of the agreement, Metrologic will supply EnovateIT with a range of tethered and wireless hand-held and hands-free laser and image bar code scanners for use in the healthcare market place. EnovateIT will market and sell Metrologic’s bar code scanners as part of their patient point-of-care system solutions as well as peripherals to be used in hospital point-of-service locations such as pharmacy, laboratory, medical records, and admissions.
