Metrologic Instruments UK Limited, a subsidiary of Metrologic Instruments GmbH, handles the sales and support services for Metrologic throughout the UK and Ireland for all its retail, commercial and industrial products.
Metrologic designs, manufactures and markets bar code scanning and high-speed automated data capture systems solutions using laser, holographic and vision-based technologies. Metrologic offers expertise in 1D and 2D bar code reading, portable data collection, optical character recognition, image lift, and parcel dimensioning and singulation detection for customers in retail, commercial, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and postal and parcel delivery industries. In addition to its extensive line of bar code scanning and vision system equipment, the company also provides laser beam delivery and control systems to semi-conductor and fiber optic manufacturers, as well as a variety of highly sophisticated optical systems.
Metrologic Instruments has its European, Middle East and African headquarters and the German regional office in Puchheim, a suburb to the south west of Munich, Germany. Other regional offices in Europe apart from that in the UK are located in France (Metrologic Eria France), Italy (Metrologic Italia) and Spain (Metrologic Eria Iberica). Founded in 1968 at its headquarters in USA-Blackwood, New Jersey, its products are sold in more than 100 countries worldwide. Other regional centres outside Europe are located in Singapore, Japan and Brazil along with a research and development facility in China.
