Metrologic Debuts Dynamic E-Paper Signage at CeBIT 2008
Munich, Germany – February 27th, 2008 -- Metrologic Instruments GmbH is pleased to announce the release of its innovative NOVOdisplay® e-paper platform. NOVOdisplay combines the freedom of wireless communications with the flexibility of ultra-low power consumption electronic paper to provide retailers with dynamic solutions for improving in-store productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction. Metrologic’s new e-paper signs can also be implemented in markets such as manufacturing and warehousing to update ever changing inventory and work-in-progress information.

The NOVOdisplay platform which allows signs to be remotely updated via wireless communications is presently available for the development of pilot applications. Metrologic is currently working with specialist partners to develop customised solutions which demonstrate the benefits of NOVOdisplay.

Speaking of the release of the pilot capability of this important breakthrough technology, Andrew D’Amelio, Senior Director, Worldwide Business Development – NOVOdisplay Products, said, “NOVOdisplay is a system which brings price and information integrity to a range of critical applications. NOVOdisplay lowers the total cost of ownership by leveraging the freedom of RF communication and the benefits of e-paper, bringing a huge range of possibilities to organisations that rely on the display of real time information.”

The NOVOdisplay concept will be demonstrated in the Aibis stand (Hall 2, Stand B50) at CeBIT, which takes place in Hannover, Germany from 4th – 9th March 2008.
