Metrologic to Release Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2005 Financial Results on February 21, 2006. Teleconference and Audio Web Cast Set for February 22, 2006 at 8:30 AM

Blackwood, New Jersey – January 31, 2006 --Metrologic Instruments, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS:MTLG), announces that it will release its financial results for its fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2005 on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 after the market closes. The Company will also host both a teleconference and an audio web cast beginning at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time February 22, 2006 to discuss the Company’s fourth quarter and full year 2005 financial results.
