Metrologic Launches OptimusPDA™ - Its first Microsoft® Windows® Based Mobile Data Capture and Communication Terminal

Blackwood, New Jersey – March 28th, 2007 -- Metrologic Instruments, Inc. announced today that it has introduced its SP5700 OptimusPDA mobile terminal to the EMEA market place through its wholly owned subsidiary, Metrologic Instruments GmbH, based in Munich, Germany.
The OptimusPDA comes with a wide range of configurable options in a lightweight, stylish design, making it one of the lightest yet feature–rich products on the market today. Furthermore it offers either 1D laser or 2D imaging scan engines for bar code data collection. The SP5700 is of a durable design with an IP54 rating and 1.5m drop specification and can be configured with multiple wireless options including Bluetooth, WLAN (802.11b/g) and GSM-GPRS ensuring that the unit can cope with the most demanding of applications.
